OPENING SERVE: 

TSU will take on the Cumberland Phoenix on Thursday Feb. 23 at Hadley Park at 2:00 P.M. 

LAST TIME OUT: 

Against Mississippi Valley State, all three doubles teams secured 6-0 wins. Grant Maddox and Matt Brown teamed up for the No.1 doubles win, followed by Tom Parant and Jorge Rodriguez win at No. 2. The freshmen tandem of Kato Richardson and Larry Sloan rounded out doubles at No.3.

Atop the singles line up was, Brown who was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Kyle Harris. Tom Parant assumed the No.2 position winning 6-0, 6-0. Maddox won No. 3 6-1, 6-0 over Jordan Freeman. The Tigers would then go on to rattle off three straight 6-0, 6-0 wins from Richardson, Sloan and Moss playing at No. 4, 5, and 6 respectively.

TSU followed up that performance with six straight singles wins by the same score. The Tigers all won their singles match 6-0, 6-0. After a lineup change made Rodriguez open up at No. 1, Parant kept his No.2 position. Brown slid down to No. 3 playing in front of Maddox. Richardson and Sloan rounded out the singles line up at No. 4 and No. 5.

ABOUT CUMBERLAND: 

Cumberland lost its only match of the season against Georgia Gwinnett. The Phoenix failed to win any games in its only match of the season.

UP NEXT: 

The Tigers will head to Memphis to take on Arkansas Pine Bluff, Rhodes College, and LeMoyne-Owen on Mar. 3 and 4.
