Tigers Fall in Conference Play
Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University men's tennis team Tigers moved to 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference after dropping to Eastern Illinois, 7-0, in Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday morning.
The Tigers fell in six sets in singles competiton losing five games by 6-0. Justin Hamm dropped the No. 1 to Jeff Rutherford, 6-0, 6-0. The Tigers in-game scores came via the No. 4 match-up with Michael Mosley dropping, 6-1, 6-2, to Matayas Hilgert.
EIU picked the point in doubles play downing both Tiger combinations 8-1. Hamm and Aaron Fields suffered a defeat to Jordan Nestrud and Vuk Milicevic and the team of Mosley and Jaala Brooks loss to Vance Davis and Hilgert.
The Tigers will host Western Kentucky for the second time on the season on Wednesday, April 8th. Match time is slated for 3 p.m.
