Tennis Stumbles 7-0 to UT Martin

Martin, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University Tiger men's tennis teams dropped their fourth straight and third conference game in a loss to UT Martin at the Skyhawk Tennis Courts on Sunday. The men loss 6-0 posting to a 0-4 record on the season and 0-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The University of Tennessee at Martin men's tennis team improved their OVC mark to 2-0 and 4-4 overall.

The TSU team of Justin Hamm and Aaron Fields at No. 1, dropped 8-2 to Stephan Bruwer and Andrey Yesipov. To finish off the doubles point, Jaala Brooks and Michael Mosley loss to UT Martin's Alfredo Krywacz and Petr Markov, 8-1, at No. 2.

Down 3-0 due to defeats in the doubles, a forfeit and a match retired, at No. 1 in singles competition, Hamm loss (1-3) 6-0, 6-1 to Bruwer, while Fields (1-3) dropped 6-1, 6-1 to Krywacz. The Tigers only scored four game pointsin six games played on the day.

Up Next for TSU, the Tigers will host Western Kentucky, Friday, March 20, with 3 p.m. scheduled for start time.
