Hamm picks up another win,

Robinson, Jr. earns first career win,

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men tennis team dropped a heartbreaker to Alabama A&M inside the Hadley Park Tennis Bubble on Wednesday afternoon. The men fell 4-2 in five games played in singles competition. The match was played inside due to inclement weather.

TSU Tennis moves to 0-7 on the season remaining 0-4 in Ohio Valley Conference matches.

For the men, Justin Hamm (2-5) picked up his second win of the season defeating Gregory Rodgers in two sets in the highlighted game of the match at number one, 6-0, 6-3. Gerald Robinson, Jr. (1-6) pulled off his first career with a 5-2 decision over Anthony Pickard in the fifth game.

The Bulldogs (3-13) picked up three points in the second, third, and fourth seeded games in singles competition. 

For the doubles, Hamm and Aaron Fields fell to the combination of Rodgers and Evan Brown, 8-6. Hamm and Fields defeated the AAMU top doubles team back on March 8, 8-5.

The Tigers will host Austin Peay on April 3 in OVC play in a match that was originally scheduled for April 9. 

The Governors stand at 2-12 overall with a 0-5 OVC record. APSU is 1-3 on the road and is nursing a four-game losing streak winning their last match against Southern University on March 12th, 4-3.

In singles competiton, they hold a 19-65 (.226) record with top player Renan Bezerra posting a 2-12 record in individual play. In doubles play. Lucas DeBrito and Leonardo Locatelli stand at 7-7 to calculating most of the wins to add to a 11-31 (.262) record.
