Tiger Tennis Drops Second Straight

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men's tennis team lost their second match of the season falling to conference opponent, Morehead State, 7-0, at the TSU Tennis Complex. The Tigers are 0-2 and 0-1 in OVC play while Morehead State moves to 5-2, 1-0 in OVC matches. 

In early doubles competition, the number one team of Justin Hamm and Aaron Fields fell victim to their first defeat of the year in a close game. Hamm and Fields trailed 3-0 but rallied back to a 6-4 score before dropping the set, 8-5, moving to 1-1 on the year.

Morehead State claimed all matches receiving two by default and one by player forfeit.  

Hamm (1-1), Fields (1-1) and Michael Mosley (1-1) tried to regroup in singles competition but dropped their first matches this year in two sets.

Next, TSU will host Murray State on Thursday, March 12, with a 12 p.m. start.
