Tigers Travel to Jacksonville State

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men's tennis team will travel to Jacksonville, Ala. for a rescheduled conference match against Jacksonville State on Tuesday, March 31. Start time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The original date was scheduled for March 27th but was postponed due to weather.

The Tigers are 0-6 overall, 0-4 in Ohio Valley Conference matches.

The men's skid posts a 3-31 (.088) record in singles play and 1-14 (.067) in doubles action. Justin Hamm, Michael Mosley and Aaron Fields head the Tigers top three matches with similar records of 1-5.

Jacksonville State's men carry a 14-1 record overall, 3-0 in the OVC with an undefeated home record this season at 7-0. The Gamecocks are on a seven game win streak downing Tennessee Tech (TTU) 5-2 in conference play their last time out on March 25th. JSU in single competiton sit among the conference best winning 78 percent (69-20) of their games.

Eduardo Saratt and Scott Robertson are 11-3 and to help JSU tally a 32-11 (.744) record in doubles play. Saratt, Chris Duke, and Benardo Bachino each have similar records in singles' match-ups at 12-2.

The Tigers will host Alabama A&M on Thursday, April 2nd, at the TSU Tennis Complex. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m. The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers earlier this season in Huntsville, Ala. with the women dropping 5-2 and the men edged out, 4-3.
