Tennis Falls to Murray State

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University Tiger men's tennis teams dropped their consecutive conference game with a 7-0 loss to Murray State at the Hadley Park Indoor Tennis Bubble Thursday afternoon. The team moves to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Due to weather conditions the teams had to play indoor.

The men's team began the match 0-2 after  forfeiting two single matches, retiring one. In doubels play, Jaala Brooks and Michael Mosley gave up five points after a 3-3 tie falling 8-3. 

In the highlighted match of the afternoon, Justin Hamm (1-2) dropped his second straight losing to Ben Clos, 6-0, 6-1.

Murray State men move to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in the OVC while the women slide to 6-2, 1-0 in OVC matches. 

Next, the Tigers will head to Martin, Tenn. to face UT Martin, Sunday, march 15th. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
