Tennis Versus Morehead State in Home Opener

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men and women's tennis teams will host Morehead State in a conference match at the Tiger Tennis Courts, Tuesday, March 10th, with a 1 p.m. start time.

Both Tiger teams are 0-1 coming off a season opening loss to Alabama A&M on Sunday. The men fell in a tightly fought battle, 4-3, while the women dropped their match, 5-2.

The men are led by Justin Hamm, Aaron Fields, and Michael Mosley who are 1-0 in singles competition. Hamm and Fields are also 1-0 in doubles.

Dania Lofton and Cherrelle Coleman are 1-0 in singles and lead the women with their undefeated start.

Morehead State's men and women's sqauds are fresh off a team win against IUPUI (Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis) with the women posting an overall record of 8-4, and the men starting the season 5-2.

Catherine Butts leads the Morehead's women with a 5-0 singles record while Heather Butt and Lauren Delaney lead the Eagles' doubles with a 7-2 record. For the men, Bradley Bryan, Charles Hodge, Dusan Milovanovic, and Jason Wolfson each have posted a 4-2 singles record. While as a team, the Eagles are 23-7 in doubles play.

The Tigers will host Murray State next in conference competition on Thursday, March 12 at the Tiger Tennis Courts. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
