Last Time Out --- Senior Todd McGill led the way for Tennessee State during the final round of the Ohio Valley Conference Championships. McGill posted his best round of the three day event with a 5-over, 77. The Tigers finished 10th, 41 strokes ahead of Eastern Illinois. Kody Rendlemen was the top finisher with a 12-over, 228. Jermey Fultz carded a 14-over, 330, while Rosario Falzone shot a 231, followed by McGill at 243 and Drew Owens at 245.
30th PGA Minority Collegiate Championships --- Drew Owens capped off his freshman season by claiming the individual honors, helping TSU grab a share of the top score and forcing a playoff at the 30th PGA Minority Championship in 2016. Bethune-Cookman spoiled the celebration for the Tigers by winning the full team-playoff on the first hole of extra play. TSU finished with a 907 team score for the Championship. Owens won the tournament with a 5-over, 221, just ahead of Todd McGill at 224. Jermey Fultz posted a 231 to go along with Rosario Falzone’s 236 and Sam Gatlin’s 239.
