MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. --- Senior Todd McGill led the way for Tennessee State during the final round of the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Wednesday. McGill posted his best round of the three day event with a 5-over, 77.
McGill was joined by junior Kody Rendleman at 5-over for the day to score for the Tigers, while Rosario Falzone (79) and Drew Owens (84) recorded the final two scoring marks for TSU. Junior Jermey Fultz carded a non-scoring 84 on day three.
McGill opened the day with back-to-back bogeys before stringing together 10 consecutive pars. The Knoxville, Tenn. product ran into trouble at his nemesis, the par-3, 13th, where he added two extra strokes to his score. McGill notched a par on No. 14 before finding the weeds on 15. McGill was able to hack his way out of the weeds to 30-yards out and got up-and-down to save par.
The 31st PGA Minority Collegiate Championships on May 12 is next up on the schedule for the Tigers. The three day event will take place at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
