Golf Looks to Defend National Black College Hall of Fame Title

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee State men's golf team travels to the 2012 National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., tournament. The two-day tournament will be held on the Par-72, 6,539 yard course at Browns Mill Golf Course in Atlanta, Ga. After a practice round on Friday, TSU will tee off at 8:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Last year, the Tigers charged back on day two to regain the lead and claim their second consecutive title. James Stepp led the charge with a 5-under 66 during the final round. Ryan Pierson carded a 70, Cameron Scitern a 71, Dallas Hill a 73 and Andrew Warner shot a 77 on Sunday to team up for the win.

Sophomore Tyler Hendrickson will make the trip this weekend to team up with Hill, Scitern, Stepp and Warner as the Tigers look to claim their third title in as many years.

TSU will be a part of a ten team field which includes Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Florida A&M, Hampton, Jackson State, North Carolina Central, Savannah State, Texas Southern and host Maryland Eastern Shore.
