Former TSU golfer Chris Seibel places 3rd at first professional event

Nashville --- In his professional golfing debut, Chris Seibel finished in third place at the PGA's Indiana Open Championship.

Seibel bounced back from his opening round of 73 with scores of 67, 70 and 66 in the final three rounds. He recorded a total of 20 birdies in the tournament while carding six in the fourth round.

He finished three strokes behind the leader with a 12-under par 276.

"TSU is very proud of Chris Seibel for finishing tied for third in his first professional event," said head golf coach Chip Taylor. He's an outstanding young man who did some great things for our program and our university. It's a great start for him as a professional and we wish him the best of luck in his career."
