Tallahassee, Fla. --- The Tennessee State University men's golf team finished in second place at the 7-team FAMU Spring Golf Invitational.
The two-day event held at the Southwood Golf Course continued the Tigers steady spring improvement with TSU having all four players finish in the Top 20.
The men were led by senior Richard Gill and freshman Andrew Warner who both tied for third with a matching overall score of 143 (72-71).
Rounding out the Top 20 for the men were sophomore Cameron Scitern and freshman Ryan Pierson. Scitern notched an overall score of 146 (71-75) to tie in fifth with Pierson finishing in 14th with a 6-over 150.
Senior Ryan Smith withdrew from the invitational after recording a 78 in the first round.
TSU will return to action to host the two-day, three-round TSU Blue Intercollegiate from April 3-5.
