Choctaw, Miss. --- The Tennessee State University men's golf team finished 10th overall at the Frito Lay AT&T Intercollegiate posting a team total of 638. The 36-hole event hosted by Jackson State was held at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Choctaw, Miss.
In a field of 17 teams, the Tigers shot a 325 in the first round and a 313 in the second round finishing with a two-day total of 638.
Mercer University took home top team honors with an overall score of 590 (295-295). Bethune-Cookman (605) claimed second while Nicholls State (614) finished third.
Individually, freshman Andrew Warner led the Tigers carding a total score of 155 (77-78) finishing in a tie for 20th overall.
TSU had four other players in the field, including sophomore Cameron Scitern who finished tied for 29th and shot rounds of 80 and 77 (157). Ryan Smith (56th) carded a 163 (85-78) while Ryan Pierson (66th) recorded a score of 168 (83-85). Richard Gill rounded out the scorers for TSU with a 169 (89-80) and a tie for 69th.
TSU will return to action on Sunday, March 13-15, for the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, Tenn.
