Men's Golf Places 15th at F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

Hopkinsville, Ky. --- The Tennessee State University men's golf team closed out its fall schedule with a 15th place finish at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate.

The 17-field tournament, held at the Links Novadell featured nine OVC schools including Tennessee State.

The Tigers shot a three-round 896 (305-389-302), three strokes behind Belmont and 32-over par.

Junior Richard Gill led the Tigers with an 18th place finish after carding a 2-over par 218 (78-68-72) for the tournament. Junior Ryan Smith recorded a score of 224 (73-73-78) and placed 50th for TSU while senior Chris Seibel placed 58th with a score of 226 (77-76-73).

Sophomore Dorian Vauls rounded out the scorers for TSU with a 228 (77-72-79) and a 71st place finish. Freshman Cameron Scitern withdrew from the tournament.  

The tournament winner Eastern Kentucky finished with a five-under par 859 while Townson University placed second (862). Oakland University rounded out the top three with a score of 864.
