Dickson, TN--- The Tennessee State University men’s golf team placed tenth in the MSU Spring Invitational hosted by Murray State.
The 54-hole event featured 10 teams including OVC opponents Tennessee Tech, Tennessee Martin, Morehead State and host Murray State. Lipscomb, Belmont, John A. Logan CC, and Evansville also participated in the tournament.
As a team, Tennessee State shot a 43-over-par 907 for the tournament. Ryan Smith finished in a four-way tie for 27th and led TSU with a 7-over-par 223 (72-75-76). Chris Seibel (79-77-70) and Drew Bobo (76-76-74) were two of four players that placed 37th.
Richard Gill shot a 235 while Lawrence Larson recorded a 236.
Lipscomb University (864) walked away with first place as Tennessee Tech (865) captured second. Murray State rounded out the top three with a 3-over-par 867.
