"CHIP" TAYLOR JOINS TSU STAFF AS GOLF COACH

Charles "Chip" Taylor has joined the Tennessee State University athletic staff as the men and women's golf coach.

Taylor, a 1988 graduate of Battle Ground Academy, comes to the Tiger program from Lipscomb University where he was assistant Golf Coach. Taylor was a four-year member of the Austin Peay State University golf team and was a member of the Governors' 1989 Ohio Valley Conference Championship team. He was also a two-time co-captain.

Chip has been a member of the Professional Golfers Association since 1999 and is the head Professional Golfer at Graymere Country Club in Columbia, Tennessee. Nine of his junior golfers have gone on to play college golf. He is a two-time member of the Tennessee PGA Assistants Cup team and has played in numerous mini-tour events. He has won several Tennessee sector events.

He is married to Tracie Taylor and they have two children, Alec and Zach.
