Oneonta, Ala.--- Tennessee State men’s golf shot a 29-over-par 317 in the final round of the Samford Intercollegiate to finish in fourteenth place.
Chris Seibel (80-77-74) and Drew Bobo (77-76-78) each recorded 15-over-par 231s to lead TSU while Richard Gill (71-82-85) tallied a 22-over-par 238. Ryan Smith (23-over-par 239) and Lawrence Larson (26-over-par 242) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers and finished in 71st and 76th place respectively.
New Orleans placed first in the tournament. Finishing behind New Orleans was Eastern Kentucky in second place followed by West Florida and USC-Upstate in a tie at fourth. Host Samford tied with Murray State for the fifth place spot while Troy place seventh. Trailing the Trojans and rounding out the field were Illinois State (8th), Austin Peay (9th), Tennessee-Martin (10th), Winthrop (11th), Lipscomb (12th), Tennessee Tech (13th), Tennessee State (14th), Nicholls State (15th), and tied at 16th place were Southern Illinois and Morehead State.
The Tigers will participate in the Murray State Invitational on April 6.
