TIGER GOLFERS MOVE UP ONE SPOT AFTER SECOND ROUND OF OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS
PADUCAH, Ky. --- Tennessee State moved up one spot to fifth place after the second round of the 2003 Ohio Valley Conference championships being played at the Country Club of Paducah. TSU shot a 302 on Tuesday and now has a 611 after 36 holes. Freshman Darragh Lenihan led the Tigers with a 73 on Tuesday and now has a 149 to stand in a tie for 10th place. Robert Dinwiddie, last season's OVC championship medalist, is at 151 and in 12th place. Stu Michaels is at 155, followed by Mark Searle 159, and Fraser Inglis 161. Austin Peay has an eight-stroke lead as it goes for its second straight OVC title. Eastern Kentucky is second with a 586, with Murray State third at 601. Fourth place Eastern Illinois leads the Tigers by three strokes. The third and final round will be played Wednesday on the par-72 6,915-yard course.
