TSU GOLF TEAM IN SIXTH PLACE TIEAFTER FIRST ROUND OF OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS
PADUCAH, Ky. --- Tennessee State stands in a sixth place tie after the opening round of the 2003 Ohio Valley Conference championships being played at the Country Club of Paducah. The Tigers shot an opening round 309 along with Morehead State on the par-72 6,915-yard course. Defending champion Austin Peay holds a five-stroke lead over Eastern Kentucky after shooting a 291. TSU sophomore Robert Dinwiddie, the defending medalist shot a 76 along with freshman Darragh Lenihan to be in a 14th place tie. Fraser Inglis shot a 78, Stu Michaels 79, and Mark Searle 81. The second round of the 54-hole tournament will begin Tuesday morning.
