Men Complete OVC Championships in 12th

MURRAY, Ky. – The Tennessee State men’s cross country squad concluded the season with a 12th place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday. The Tigers totaled 376 points in the 8K event.

Eastern Kentucky claimed the team title with all five scoring runners finishing in the top eight spots, including the top three individuals.

Quamel Prince crossed the line first for the Tigers finishing in 29:06.1. Jontue McDowell just edged Theodore Nicholson as the came across in 33:07.9. Shaquille Cragwall completed the course in 40:25.9, a fraction of a second ahead of Jason Griffin at 40:26.0.

The Tigers will begin the Indoor Track season on Dec. 5 with the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
