Cross Country Completes Season at OVC Championships

OXFORD, Ala. - The Men's and Women's cross country teams completed the 2012 season at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships hosted by Jacksonville State University. Both teams grabbed 12th place finishes with the women scoring 354 points and the men notching 366 points.

Adrian McDaniel led the Flying Tigers with a time of 28:47.58 and was followed by Theodore Nicholson who came across in 29:00.23. Jamill Jackson (30:00.17), Jalon McCutcheon (30:19.11), and Jonathan Owens (30:19.71) all scored points for TSU.

Freshman Oteia Prince led the Tigerbelles in her first OVC Championships with a 49th place finish in a group of 89 runners. Prince broke the tape of the 5K race in a time of 19:09.20. Charita Harris became the second TSU runner to finish and stopped the clock at 21:07.35. Breanna Adams (21:31.17), Michelle Bradley (21:55.30) and Diera Taylor (22:08.86) all collected countable scores.

The Tigerbelles and Flying Tigers transition to the indoor season and will run an exhibition in the Blue and White Meet on Monday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Gentry Center.
