Cross Country prepares for Commodore Classic

Nashville, Tenn.-The Tennessee State University men's and women's cross country teams are back on the course at the Commodore Classic on Saturday, September 15, at Nashville's Percy Warner Park. The men are scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. start with an 8K race; with the women following at 9:45 a.m. with a 6K race.

The men's race will consist of 24 teams, including eight Ohio Valley Conference squads and seven SEC teams. The complete list of teams competing with TSU include Alabama, Belmont, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, LSU, Lipscomb, Marshall, Memphis, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, Morehead State, Murray State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky.

The women's field is packed with 25 schools. Runners from Alabama, Alabama A&M, Belmont, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, LSU, Lipscomb, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, Morehead State, Murray State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky will challenge TSU.

Admission is free for fans during all races held at Percy Warner.
