Michael Littlejohn was named College Sports Madness Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week after leading the Tigers in scoring in two of the three matchups Tennessee State competed in this week.
TSU kicked off the week at San Diego State, where Littlejohn registered 21 points, shooting 8-of-16 from the field and 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Muskegon, Michigan, native followed his 21 point performance with a cool 17 points in round one of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational against Cal Poly, where he shot 5-of-8 from three-point distance and 6-of-12 from the field.
On the final night of the Invitational, when Tennessee State became upper division champions, Littlejohn clocked a single three-pointer, but dished out five assists in the 81-73 win over North Florida.
This marks the first time this season Tennessee State has had a player win a weekly award.
