Men's Basketball Hosts Successful Penny and Practice

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State men's basketball team welcomed over 90 TSU alumni, fans and supporters for its 2nd Annual Penny and Practice Thursday evening in Kean Hall.

The night consisted of dinner and silent auction items before practice got underway. Fans got to see the team go through various drills in a high-tempo, high-energy practice.

Following the practice, new roster additions Wesley Harris and Jon Brown spoke to the guests, and Coach Brian "Penny" Collins MC'd a live auction for five coach of the game experiences versus Alabama A&M, Lipscomb, Fisk, Chicago State and any OVC game. Also through the auction, fans were given the opportunity to have a catered dinner at the Collins' residence with Penny, wife Lakeya and son History.

Although Tennessee State fans live near and far, prohibiting attendance to the event, donations to the men's basketball program may still be made through the Donate link above.

The Tigers will host a Kids and Org Night for its season opener against Alabama A&M at the Gentry Center Nov. 5.
