Men's Basketball Inks Ben Koné

NASHVILLE – Ben Koné is the latest student-athlete to join the Tennessee State men’s basketball program. The San Francisco native spent two seasons in the frontcourt for Oregon State and will have two years of eligibility with TSU beginning with the 2019-20 season.

“Ben is going to add much needed depth to our frontcourt,” said head coach Brian “Penny” Collins. “He’s coming in from Oregon State where he has proven to be a strong asset on defense with the ability to step back and shoot the three in high-level, competitive games. He was a highly recruited, three-star athlete coming out of high school, with the likes of San Diego State and New Mexico State.”

“Ben has a high basketball IQ and will bring leadership to this roster,” said Collins. “He’s a well-spoken, articulate young man, the type of student-athlete we will continue to recruit here at Tennessee State.”
