My TSU Experience: Darreon Reddick

Darreon Reddick was a four-year starter for TSU’s men’s basketball team, making 103 starts in 121 career games at the guard position. Reddick, who served as a team captain during his senior season, scored 895 career points to go with 327 rebounds and 169 assists. The Belleville, Ill. native had some of his biggest games when the lights shined the brightest, scoring 20 points at Kansas, 14 at Duke and 12 at Vanderbilt. Darreon earned his bachelor's degree from Tennessee State on Saturday, May 5. He shared his college experience with tsutigers.com.

A:  Great experience. I made a lot of connections and lifelong brothers.

TSUTigers: What do you love most about TSU?
A: HBCU, Black History

TSUTigers: What will you miss most about TSU?
A: Teammates  

TSUTigers: What is your most memorable moment in your sport at TSU?
A: Playing at Duke

TSUTigers: What is your most memorable non-sport moment at TSU?
A: Freshman year coming week was lit!  

TSUTigers: What are some accomplishments/goals that you reached at TSU?
A: Four-year starter, team captain, graduate

TSUTigers: Do you have a favorite TSU fan/supporter? If so, who?
A: My Mom

TSUTigers: What advice would you give to incoming freshman?
A: Have your priorities straight. Don’t get caught up in the fun. Work first, party second.

TSUTigers: What was your most challenging class at TSU?
A: Biology

TSUTigers: Who was your favorite professor?
A: Dr. Hamido

TSUTigers: Who have been the most influential people to you at TSU?
A: Coach Dana Ford

TSUTigers: What’s next for you?
A: Playing ball overseas
