OPENING TIP: Tennessee State men’s basketball concludes its Kentucky road trip with a Saturday night showdown at Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky. The Tigers, who have won three in a row, are led in scoring by Delano Spencer (14.5 ppg) and Christian Mekowulu (13.1 ppg).

LAST TIME OUT: Delano Spencer scored a game-high 16 points, including a free throw with 4.2 seconds left, to lead TSU to a 61-58 road win at Morehead State on Thursday night. For TSU, it was the program’s first road win at Morehead State since Feb. 27, 2014. TSU trailed by one with just over a minute left until Armani Chaney’s three-pointer with 1:09 to go gave the Tigers a lead they did not relinquish the rest of the way.

In TSU’s final home game of the 2016-17 season on Feb. 18, TSU secured a 68-66 win over EKU thanks to 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists from then-senior Tahjere McCall.
