OPENING TIP: Following an opening night defeat at #4/3 Kansas, the Tennessee State men’s basketball team will make its home debut at the Gentry Center on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. versus Reinhardt. TSU is 3-0 in home openers under fourth-year Head Coach Dana Ford and has gone 23-16 in home games under Ford.  

LAST TIME OUT: Darreon Reddick tallied his second career 20-point game at #4/3 Kansas on Nov. 10 in a season-opening 92-56 loss. Delano Spencer also posted a strong offensive effort with 14 points in defeat. Friday’s game marked the TSU debuts for Hampus Ahlin, A.C. Reid, Daniel Cummings, Stokley Chaffee Jr. and Kamar McKnight. TSU’s defense forced 20 turnovers on the night.

ABOUT REINHARDT: The Eagles, which compete at the NAIA level, are off to a 3-2 start to the season. Reinhardt is the fifth-highest scoring team in the nation among NAIA teams – averaging 103.2 points per game led by Corey Tobin’s 15.8 points per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Tennessee State is 3-0 in the all-time series versus Reinhardt, defeating the Eagles in each of the last three seasons. TSU has averaged 90.0 points per game in the series while holding Reinhardt to 63.7 points per game (+26.3 points per game).

LAST SEASON VERSUS REINHARDT: In last year’s meeting at the Gentry Center, TSU defeated Reinhardt by a 96-64 margin at the Gentry Center. Six TSU players scored in double figures including 18 points from Delano Spencer. Then-senior Tahjere McCall posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Reinhardt made 13 first-half three pointers and trailed by just two at 47-45 through 20 minutes.
