NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State men’s basketball Head Coach Dana Ford announced that Khalill Spencer (Memphis, Tenn.), A’Torey Everett (Dallas, Texas) and Xavier Williams (Fairfield, Ala.) will transfer from the University.
“All three of these young men have represented our program in a first class manner both on and off the floor,” Ford said. “They all come from great families, and we wish them nothing but the best in their aspirations for more playing time and bigger roles.”
A preferred walk-on, Spencer appeared in five games in 2016-17 as a redshirt freshman after sitting out the 2015-16 season. In his games as a reserve, Spencer posted 0.6 points and 0.4 rebounds per game.
Everett saw action in 24 of TSU’s 30 games on the season. The guard from Dallas, Texas put up 2.4 points and 0.9 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game. He appeared in 13 Ohio Valley Conference games, scoring a career-high 12 points in the OVC opener at Murray State.
Battling injury, Williams played in 10 games during the 2016-17 season. Williams averaged 1.0 points and 0.9 rebounds per game in 5.2 minutes per outing. His best game of the year came against Alabama State when he put up four points, five rebounds and three blocks in a TSU victory.
