Dana Ford to Participate in Coaches vs. Cancer Luncheon

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State men’s basketball Head Coach Dana Ford will serve as one of the five guest speakers at the sixth annual Tip-Off Luncheon to support the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Program on Oct. 27. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Commodore Ballroom on the campus of Vanderbilt University.

Fans in attendance will have the chance to ask questions as coaches from the Nashville area will give insight about their teams for the upcoming season.

Other coaches planning to be in attendance to answer questions are Rick Byrd (Belmont), Dave Loos (Austin Peay), Bryce Drew (Vanderbilt) and Casey Alexander (Lipscomb).

The luncheon will feature a silent auction with proceeds and ticket profits going to the American Cancer Society. The event is a collaboration between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society to help coaches use their platforms as community leaders to help support cancer research and awareness.

Ford, who earned Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year for the 2015-16 season, will be speaking at the event for the third-consecutive year.
