Basketball Tickets on Sale on Oct. 19

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Single-game and season tickets for the 2015-16 Tennessee State University basketball season go on sale Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:30 a.m. Season tickets will provide fans access to 12 home women’s games and 13 home men’s games at the Gentry Center.

Season tickets cost $130 and are priced at $120 for TSU football season ticket holders. TSU faculty and staff can purchase tickets at a discounted price of $100. The first 50 people to renew their season tickets from last season will receive tickets to the 2016 OVC Tournament Championship.

Coming off the program’s third Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship, the Lady Tigers return two starters from last year’s team including OVC Tournament MVP Brianna Lawrence. Head Coach Larry Inman's reloaded roster includes seven freshmen to blend with seven returning letterwinners.

The Lady Tigers will host the Second Annual Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic in late November as part of the non-conference slate before eight home OVC games beginning on Jan. 9 versus SIU Edwardsville. The home opener for the women’s team is set for Nov. 28 against Texas Southern.

TSU’s men’s team welcomes back four of its top five scorers off last year’s squad as well as the team’s two leading rebounders in Demontez Loman and Christian Mekowulu. Second-year Head Coach Dana Ford will also be able to utilize 12 new players.

Games against local rivals Middle Tennessee and Lipscomb highlight the men’s home schedule in 2015-16. Five non-conference games will be followed by eight OVC contests with the home opener scheduled for Nov. 18 against Fisk.

Located on the first floor of the Gentry Center, the TSU Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office, or by calling 615-963-5841.
