Tennessee State University head men’s basketball coach Dana Ford and his staff will host a Fall Ball for Women Clinic Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14 in the Gentry Center.
The two-day event will begin at 4 p.m. each day and go until 8 p.m. The clinic will give attendees an exclusive look at the ins-and-outs of the men’s basketball program and will provide personal interaction with the coaching staff.
“We feel that this clinic is a unique opportunity for our coaching staff to teach the game of basketball in an up-close and personal setting,” said head coach Dana Ford. “We want our participants to have a good experience while learning the game and observing what it takes to maintain a Division I basketball program.”
The Fall Ball Clinic will feature a special welcome from Coach Ford, a behind the scenes look at the Tiger Basketball program as well as presentations from the athletic training and strength & conditioning staffs.
The event will also include:
· On-court drills led by the coaching staff
· The process of developing a scouting report
· Meet and greet with the wives of the coaching and support staff
· Silent Auction
· Group photo with coaches
Participants will receive an Adidas bag, ticket to the home opener and an invitation to observe practice.
The cost is $50 per person with all proceeds benefiting the Tiger basketball program.
In addition to the clinic, attendees can bid on a number of silent auction items including a season ticket package, TSU game jersey and a signed basketball from Coach Ford.
The deadline to register for the event is Wednesday Nov. 12 and reservations are limited to the first 60 women.
It is recommended that all participants dress casually with athletic shirts, shorts, and sneakers.
