HONOLULU, Hawai’i – Tennessee State senior point guard Patrick Miller was named to the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic All-Tournament Team early Tuesday morning.
Miller was the Tigers’ leading scorer, pouring in 62 points for an average of 20.7 points during the three games. He made 24 of his 60 attempts (40 percent) from the field and held a 4-for-13 (30.8 percent) line from behind the three-point line.
The Chicago, Ill. product also tallied 10 assists, eight rebounds and two steals for the tournament.
Against New Mexico State, TSU’s captain set a new career-high with 30 points. Miller made 12 of his 22 attempts (55 percent) against the Aggies, had four assists and added a pair of rebounds for Tennessee State (0-3).
Miller will lead the Tigers into Wichita, Kan. on Nov. 16 for a matchup with one of last year’s Final Four team, Wichita State. Tipoff between TSU and the Shockers is slated for 12 p.m.
