Men's Basketball Seeks to End Skid at Morehead State

Morehead, Ky. - The Tennessee State men's basketball team looks to salvage one win from its current three-game road trip when the squad takes on Morehead State on Saturday night.

In TSU's last game, the Tigers lost their second consecutive on Thursday night at Eastern Kentucky. TSU fell behind in the first half and eventually lost to the Colonels 76-67.

Patrick Miller had 20 points for the Tigers on 6-of-14 shooting and made 4-of-8 from deep. It was Miller's fourth 20-plus point game of the season.

Jordan Cyphers poured in 15 points for Tennessee State (12-9, 6-2 OVC) thanks to a 10-for-11 line from the charity stripe. His 10 freebies set a new season-high.

The Tigers forced 17 Colonel turnovers and scored 21 off of EKU miscues. TSU also beat EKU on the boards, 31-25, thanks to 10 rebounds by M.J. Rhett.

TSU is now second in the OVC in rebounding margin, beating opponents on the glass by an average of 3.6 boards per game. Kellen Thornton (7.8) and M.J. Rhett (6.9) each rank in the top eight of the conference's rebounds per game leaders.
