A native of Wichita, Kan., Cyphers scored 19 points and was 5-of-10 from three-point range in the victory over LeMoyne-Owen.
Against Alabama A&M, Cyphers was 4-of-7 from the field, making all five free throw attempts and totaling 15 points. The redshirt junior is averaging 8.6 points per game and is shooting 38.6 percent (22-of-57) behind the arch.
Tennessee State is 7-6 at the winter break for the first time since the 1994-95 season. The Tigers open Ohio Valley Conference play at the Gentry Center with in-state foe UT Martin on Thursday, Dec. 29. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m., after the conclusion of the Lady Tigers/Austin Peay game at 5 p.m.
