Houston and Robinson, Jr. Two of the Best in Tennessee
Nashville, Tenn. - According to the Tennessean, senior Jerrell Houston and sophomore Gerald Robinson, Jr. are two of the top 20 collegiate basketball players in Tennessee. The Tennessean selects the players based on last season's peformance.
Robinson Jr. is listed 11th after averaging 15.2 points per game as a freshman while being named to the Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer Team. On the season, Robinson, Jr. is averaging 21.3 points per game with three assists.
Houston ends the list at 20 after finishing the 2007-08 season averaging 11.3 points per contest. Houston made his 2008-09 season debut in the Tigers' third game with a double-double peformance. Houston scored 28 points and hauled in 11 boards to lead both categories in the Tigers' first win of the season.
Houston and Robinson were both named to the 2008-09 All-OVC Preseason Team.
