Tigers versus Golden Eagles in OVC action live on ESPNU

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men's basketball will try to tally another OVC win in their final road game of the regular season when they head to Cookeville, Tenn. to match-up against Tennessee Tech live on ESPNU.

The game is scheduled for Thursday, February 19th, with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off inside the Eblen Center. The game is the Tigers' fourth televised game of the season and the second on ESPNU. Fans can still listen to the live broadcast on the Big Blue Sports Network (WVOL 1470 AM - Nashville, WMRB 910 AM - Columbia, WOJG 94.7 FM - Jackson).

The Tigers lost the season's first meeting against the Golden Eagles, 86-78, on January 24th inside the Gentry Center. Tennessee Tech holds the series record, 25-20, winning the last two match-ups against the Tigers.

The Tigers (8-17, 6-9 OVC) are on a two-game win streak defeating Austin Peay last Saturday, 88-80. The Tigers are 3-11 on the road winning their last two road trips and are led in scoring by Gerald Robinson, Jr. (17.3 ppg) and Jerrell Houston (13.3 ppg).  Darius Cox (9.8 ppg) lead the Tigers in rebounding with 6.9 boards per game.

Tennessee Tech (11-15, 5-11 OVC) has lost five straight, winning two of their last eight. Last time out, the Golden Eagles lost to UT Martin, 71-62. TTU is 8-6 at home and are led in scoring by Daniel Northern (12.0 ppg), Will Barnes (10.3 ppg) and Frank Davis (10.2 ppg).

Next up, TSU will host the University of Detroit for the ESPN Bracketbusters on Saturday, February 21st, tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
