Tigers Look to Continue Strong Shooting Against Alabama A&M

Nashville, Tenn. - The 3-4 Tigers will travel to Huntsville, Ala. to face the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M. The non-conference match-up is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th, with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m.

The last the teams went head-to-head was during the 2004-05 season with the Tigers taking the win, 86-67, inside the Gentry Center. The previous season, TSU visited the Bulldogs, losing in T.M. Elmore Gymnasium, 78-77. TSU leads the all-time series, 13-2.

This is the Tigers' third consecutive game on the road and are fresh off an OVC 83-72 victory over Southeast Missouri.

TSU will try to continue their offensive execution from their last game when they shot 57 percent from the field in the second half. The Tigers finished shooting 45 percent from the floor with five players scoring in double digits.  

The Tigers will look for stellar performances from team-leading scorers Gerald Robinson, Jr. and Jerrell Houston. Robinson is currently averaging 20 points per and is ranked third in the conference in scoring.  Houston has  tallied two double-doubles thus far and is second on the team in scoring with 14.6.

The Tigers will then head to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to play the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. The game is sceduled for Wednesday, December 17th. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
