Tennessee State University, guard Bruce Price has been named Ohio Valley Conference “Player of the Week” for the third time this season.
Price, a 6-1, junior from Minneapolis, MN, averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game last week as Tennessee State swept a pair of opponents at the Gentry Center. Price scored 33 points (his sixth 30-point career game) in an 87-75 victory over Southeast Missouri and added 20 points, five assists and two steals in a 79-72 win over Eastern Illinois. For the week Price hit 45.5 percent (15-of-33) from the field and 50 percent (7-of-14) from 3-point range.
It marks the third time this season that Price has been honored as the OVC’s Player of the Week (Dec. 10, Jan. 2).
