Two Tennessee State University men’s basketball players have been honored as Ohio Valley Conference Player and Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Junior guard Bruce Price and freshman guard Gerald Robinson, Jr. were rewarded for their play in games against Belmont (12/17), Vanderbilt (12/22) and Illinois (12/30).

Bruce Price, a 6-1, 205 lb, junior guard from Minneapolis, Minnesota was named OVC Player of the Week for games between 12/17 to 12/31/07. He scored 17 points and had four assists in the Tigers 60-58 road victory against the Big Ten’s Illinois. In the Vanderbilt game, he scored 22 of his 24 points in the second half, including 20 of those in the first 7:35 of that half. He finished that game by hitting 4-of-9 (44%) from long range.
