Leads Tigers' in Scoring for the Week

Gerald Robinson, Jr. earned his fourth Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week honor of the season after averaging 21.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game as the Tigers were 1-1 last week.

Robinson, a 6-0, 185 lb. guard from Martin Luther King HS in Nashville, TN, scored a game-high 27 points in a one-point victory at Tennessee Tech and dished out the winning assist on a 3-pointer at the buzzer by teammate LaDarious Weaver. In that game he was 8-of-16 (50%) from the field, 3-of-6 (50%) from 3-point range and 8-of-10 (80%) from the free throw line.
He netted 16 points in Tennessee State’s two-point home loss to Eastern Kentucky earlier in the week.
