Gerald Robinson, Jr., Named OVC Co-Freshman Of The Week

Tennessee State guard Gerald Robinson, Jr., has been named Ohio Valley Conference “Co-Freshman of the Week” for the week of February 11, 2008. Robinson has won or shared the honor five times this season.

Robinson, a 6-0, 185 lb product of Martin Luther King High School in Nashville, Tennessee, averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest in a pair of games for Tennessee State last week.

Robinson hit 15-of-33 (45.5%) from the field and 8-of-19 (42.1%) from the 3-point line in the two games. Against UT Martin he had 21 points on 5-of-11 3-point shooting and added five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. He followed that up with 18 points, two rebounds and two assists in a loss to Tennessee Tech.
