NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State basketball teams will play host to the defending Ohio Valley Conference men's and women's champions when Austin Peay visits the Gentry Center Thursday. The doubleheader action begins with the women's game at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers began their homestand with a pair of tough defeats to Tennessee-Martin and Murray State. TSU forced the Lady Racers into overtime before MSU was able to pull away for the win. The Tiger men's squad battled the perennial OVC power MSU team to the wire, before MSU escaped with a win behind key 3-point shooting for an 84-78 victory. TSU junior forward Roshaun Bowens enters the Austin Peay game just four points shy of reaching the 1,000-point plateau. He is seeking to be the 22nd Tiger to reach the scoring milestone.
