2016 - Senior Season
Played in all 11 games, starting the final eight at quarterback… Moved back to quarterback from wide receiver in the second quarter of the third game of the season due to a season ending injury to O’Shay Ackerman-Carter… Caught a 44 yard touchdown pass in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff… As a starter at quarterback, finished 137-of-234 for 2,014 yards, averaging 251.8 yards per game which would be 21st in FCS and 2nd in the OVC… On the season, led all OVC QB’s in total touchdowns, 28 (21 passing, six rushing and one receiving), also caught a 2-Point conversion… Led the OVC and was 14th in FCS in Passing Efficiency (147.8)… Ranked nationally in passing touchdowns (26th, 21), yards per completion (9th, 14.41), yards per pass attempt (13th, 8.33), total offense (44th, 237.1) and 17th in points responsible for (170) and points responsible for per game (15.5)… Finished second, only to Murray State running back Devin Church, in conference games rushing, averaging 5.7 yards per carry; top rushing QB in Conference Games… Finished second in passing and total offense… For the season, finished with a 57.8 completion rate, ninth best at TSU in a single season and notched the second longest pass play in school history, a 93 yard touchdown pass to Patrick Smith at Vanderbilt (10/22)… Ended career at TSU finishing seventh in touchdown passes (43), eighth in completions (385) and seventh in pass attempts (678)… Engineered three last minute drives for wins scoring in the final seconds of the games; against UT Martin (10/1), at Austin Peay (11/5) and at Southeast Missouri (11/19)… Was named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week for performance at APSU where he was responsible for all six touchdowns, two rushing and four passing, including the 26-yard game winner to Steven Newbold with less than two seconds on the clock… Finished the game with 10 carries for 130 yards, also containing a career long 84 yard scoring dash, as well as 212 yards through the air… Went over 300 yards passing for the first time in his career with 303 yards, completing 15-of-27 for two touchdowns and added a touchdown run at Eastern Illinois (10/8)… Set a career high with 329 yards passing, connecting on 27-of-41 toss three scoring passes while rushing for 109 yards on 13 carries and catching a two-point conversion from Patrick Smith at Murray State (10/29)… In first start of the season, went 17-of-24 for 223 yards and three touchdowns, capped off with an 18 yard scoring pass to Patrick Smith with 18 seconds remaining against UT Martin (10/1) and added 32 yards on 10 carries… Drove the team 88 yards in the final minutes topping off the series with a 14 yard scoring pass to Smith with 16 seconds remaining at Southeast Missouri (11/19) while closing out his career with four touchdowns on 18-of-34 passing for 279 yards… Rushed for 40 yards on eight carries to go along with 285 yards through the air and two touchdowns, completing 19-of-30 at Vanderbilt (10/22)… Rushed for two touchdowns, including a 61 yard scamper, as he totaled 81 yards on the ground on five carries against Eastern Kentucky (10/15); added 181 through the air (13-of-24)
2015 - Junior Season
Played in six games this season, three as a starter… Finished 62-of-115 for 813 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions… Rushed for 199 yards on 55 carries and one score… Threw for a season high 238 yards and three touchdowns, completing 17-of-30 passes and rushing for 67 yards on 13 carries at Florida A&M (9/26)… Rushed for a season high 104 yards on 18 carries and scored a touchdown against Eastern Illinois (10/17)… Added 125 yards and a touchdown through the air against the Panthers… Went 23-for-37 at Eastern Kentucky (10/24) throwing for 222 yards and tossing two touchdowns… Completed the sixth longest pass play in school history with an 83 yard touchdown pass to Patrick Smith at Jacksonville State (9/19)… Ended the game with two touchdowns and 155 yards after completing six passes in 13 attempts… Converted on a season high 23 passes at Eastern Kentucky (10/24) as he tallied two scores and 222 yards in 37 attempts
2014 - Sophomore Season
Appeared in six games, making starts against Tennessee Tech (Sept. 20) and Florida A&M (Sept. 27)… Completed 40-of-77 passes for 420 yards… Tossed one touchdown and three interceptions… Rushed 28 times for 29 yards… Threw for 125 yards and a touchdown against Jackson State (Sept. 13)… Notched a season-high 151 yards passing versus the Rattlers…
2013 - Freshman Season
Named Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference… Chosen to Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer Team… Started ten games under center, and saw action in the other four… Completed 135-of-230 pass attempts for 1,405 yards… Threw 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions… Recorded at least one passing touchdown in six straight contests… Made first career start against Bethune-Cookman (9/1)… Had career-high three passing touchdowns and 43 rushing yards against Central State (9/29)… Threw a season-long 61 yard touchdown pass at UT Martin (10/19)… Completed a personal-best 24 passes on 45 attempts for 212 yards and two scores versus Eastern Illinois (10/26)… Threw two touchdown passes at home against Austin Peay (11/9)…
Lincoln HS
Ranked as the 89th best quarterback by Scout.com...Had offers from Jacksonville State, UNLV and Southern Miss...Named team offensive MVP for Tallahassee's Lincoln High School...Helped Coach Yusuf Shakir's and the Trojans to a Class 4-A State Championship title in 2010...Threw 27 touchdowns and only five interceptions his senior season...Named All-Florida honorable mention for the 2011 season.
