NASHVILLE --- Kaleb Mosley was named Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week honors for his efforts at Eastern Kentucky.
Mosely averaged 47.4 yards on five punts against the Colonels on Saturday evening. The sophomore downed two punts inside the EKU 20-yard line, had a long punt of 61 yards and added a 54-yarder as well. Mosley’s top punt was the second longest of his career, behind a 64 yarder set in week one versus Mississippi Valley State. Mosley has now gone six consecutive games with at least one punt of 50-plus yards. The Montgomery, Ala., product is averaging 42.9 yards per punt on the season, which tops the OVC and ranks 23rd nationally.
The honor marks the fourth week a Tiger has won an OVC honor this season. Chris Rowland has earned two honors while Antonio Zita earned the specialist honor in week one.
