NASHVILLE
--- Tennessee State used three different starting quarterbacks, due to injuries, a season ago. All three earned wins for the Tigers when their number was called. Coach Reed will enjoy the experience and leadership as all three signal callers return for the 2019 season.

Demry Croft earned the nod in each of the first four contests and completed 61 of 101 passes for 888 yards with eight touchdowns opposed to two interceptions. Croft earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors with a 14-of-20 for 217 yards and two touchdowns, along with an eight carry 56 yard performance which led to a comeback win at Eastern Illinois.

Micheal Hughes led the Tigers over the next four games and was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week as he went 22-of-27 for 318 yards and three touchdowns against Tennessee Tech. Cameron Rosendahl answered the call for the final game of the season, leading the Tigers to a thrilling overtime win against UT Martin. Rosendahl tossed three touchdown passes, including the game winner, while completing 15-of-22 for 170 yards without a turnover.

The quarterback battle will become tougher with the addition of Deveon Bryant and USF transfer Octavious Battle, who both enter the season as redshirt freshmen. True freshman Heath Williams provides depth and looks to gain time on special teams.
