Clark Named CoSIDA Academic All-District®

NASHVILLE --- Lane Clark has been named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Football Team. The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Clark is a part of the NCAA Division I – District 3 team, which includes all of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The senior from Hays, Kan. has a 3.83 GPA in Biology / Pre-Med and has been a three-time Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.

Clark has been a standout for the Tigers on the gridiron. The kicker was named to several All-American teams as a junior and has entrenched himself in the Tennessee State record books, including holding eight of the 11 longest field goals in program history.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in December.

The Academic All-District® teams include student-athletes who are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.
