NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State’s Jessamen Dunker and Ezra Robinson have been invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place in Indianapolis. The Tiger duo will be a part of the four-day event beginning Feb. 28 and running through Mar. 6.
Both Dunker and Robinson will play in the 2017 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Jan. 28, in Mobile, Ala.
The invitation to the combine for Dunker comes fresh off the heels of a selection to the Athlon FCS All-American team, announced earlier in the week. The offensive lineman has also been honored this season as Associated Press First Team All-American, HERO Sports FCS First Team All-American, BOXTOROW First Team All-American, STATS FCS Second Team All-American, College Sports Madness, Second Team All-American and All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team.
Robinson finished the season with 42 tackles, 31 solo, eight breakups, 13 passes defended and five interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. The cornerback from Sarasota, Fla. was named All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team, BOXTOROW First Team All-American and STATS FCS Second Team All-American.
The two Tigers give the Big Blue five former players to be invited to the combine as Robert Myers represented TSU in 2015, while Kadeem Edwards and AC Leonard partook in 2014.
