NASHVILLE –-- The Tennessee State football team held its annual Fan Day on Saturday afternoon in the Indoor Facility. Hundreds of fans came out to meet and support the 2016 Tigers.
The day festivities began at 1:00 p.m. as the team was welcomed to the turf. The players took a seat to sign autographs on the new 2016 posters.
After receiving signatures from the Big Blue, the kids took advantage of an inflatable playground and the open turf to play some football.
The Tigers were not able to play their scrimmage at the end of Fan Day due to the thunderstorms that hit the middle Tennessee area. The Big Blue was forced inside for its scrimmage a week ago and Coach Rod Reed preferred not to take his team to an indoor setting a week before its first game of the season.
TSU will return to full practice on Tuesday afternoon in preparations for the John Merritt Classic versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 6:00 p.m. in Nissan Stadium.
